Godrej Disha, a vocational training initiative under Good & Green intends to give a new direction to the lives of unprivileged youth by training them in skilled employment. In this competitive corporate world Godrej Disha invigorates our humanity and encourages us to feel for the underprivileged youth and transform their lives by adapting the shared value approach of doing well while doing good. 

In the next decade, economic growth in India is likely to create a sizeable number of jobs most of which will be skill-based but currently only 2-4% of India’s workforce has received some form of skill training. The Godrej Good & Green through Godrej Disha is trying to address this skilling gap by providing high quality vocational training in collaboration with renowned training institutes. The focus is to ensure high impact by not only increasing the scale of training year on year but also enhancing the quality of training.

To this end we have committed ourselves to a highly ambitious goal of training 1 million rural and urban youth in skilled employment by 2020.
